The 5th Annual Big Dipper Dash is a 5K run/walk put on by United Against Human Trafficking that pays homage to the slaves who escaped by running North for freedom by following the stars. The race will begin at 4:00pm at Stude Park.  

+ September 9 // Hope is Brewing: Love146 Fundraiser

Join Love146 at for food, pub games and meaningful fun. Support the prevention work Love146 does right here in Houston. Event will take place at St. Arnold's Brewery from 6:30pm-8:30pm. 

+ September 11 // St. Luke's United Methodist Presentation

Our founder, Erica Raggett, speaks to Senior Adult Group at St. Luke's United Methodist Church about human trafficking to raise awareness about the issue in our city. 

+ September 13 // Shop Smart: Fair Trade Market

Come support your favorite fair-trade vendors, including A 2nd Cup! Come grab a coffee and start your holiday shopping early! We'll be at First United Methodist Church from 10am-2pm. 

+ September 15 // Interfaith Anti-Human Trafficking Seder

This traditional Jewish Seder will focus on past and current struggles for human justice. Doors will open at 6pm and will take place at Chapelwood United Methodist Church

+ September 16 // Labyrinth Walk for Freedom

Join the Dominican Sisters for this indoor labyrinth to raise awareness about and pray for an end to human trafficking. Walk begins at 7:00pm at the Dominican Center for Spirituality

+ September 18-20 // Consumed - Justice Summit

A 2nd Cup will be serving coffee for this 2 day, 3 night summit of training and equipping in the fight against sex trafficking in Houston. Grab a drink before and after each session at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

+ September 21 // Local Fare for Local Freedom

Enjoy signature hors d'oeuvres from top local chefs and silent auction all to support A 2nd Cup as we move toward opening our full time shop. Join us from 5-9pm at Sparrow Bar + Cookshop

+ September 27 // Just Run for a Just Cause: 5K/10K Run

This 5th Annual 5K/10K run and 1 mile walk will include events for all ages as we unite against this just cause. Race begins at 7:45am at Kingsland Baptist Church

+ November 15 // Just Ride for a Just Cause

Routes ranging from 11 to 73 miles provide riders with opportunities to ride to raise funds to provide aftercare for survivors of human trafficking. Rides begin at  8:30am at Simonton Community Church
